This book compiles issues 11-20 of Tape Op that were published between 1999-2000 and was published in 2007. All of these issues are now out of print.
The Foreword was written by our friend Steve Albini, and the book contains some pretty great interviews from those years with folks like Butch Vig, Jim O’Rourke, Jon Brion, Joe Chiccarelli, Jack Endino, Bob Weston, Tchad Blake, Dave Fridmann, Moby, Jim Dickinson, DJ Shadow, J. Robbins, Fugazi, Ani DiFranco, Spot, and many more.
It also has a collection of the very cool Recording Recipes that Curtis Settino did for Tape Op along with the much referenced guide to analog tape calibration.
This book is equal parts inspiration, history, and an ongoing reference for anybody interested in recording music.
Typically arrives within 4-5 days. Only available in the U.S.
